Rock climbing course 2024 - for students
The course is designed for students of FTVS UK (or other faculties) interested in rock climbing. A prerequisite is the completion of the course in Sports Climbing and Mountaineering.

Schedule and content of the program:
The course content includes climbing in natural terrains - on rocks. The goal of the course is to master the basics of belaying on rocks with an emphasis on the differences in climbing and belaying techniques on sandstone and non-sandstone terrains (limestone).
Sleeping in the wild. Participants will learn the necessary skills for safe climbing on rocks according to the latest recommendations. Participants will practice a rescue operation. The course is conducted in a very friendly atmosphere.
Participants will learn the following:
- building a base camp
- establishing progressive belaying, direct/indirect belaying
- specifics of climbing in non-sandstone terrains
- multi-pitch climbing and abseiling with self-belaying
By completing the course, you will receive a "Certificate of Completion of the Climbing in Natural Terrains Course" (conditional upon meeting all course requirements). Possibility to recognize as a credit course (3 credits).
